The first week in September has been a busy indication of things to come. I attended a briefing day at Bury FC regarding the BTEC Level 3 Football course, for which I'll be delivering the practical sessions for Lee Ashforth at Shay Stadium Community Football. We start the course with the lads on Monday and I'm looking forward to working with them. Lee and I then on the same evening both attended a "Coaching in Education" course at County HQ, which was very informative. Planning has started with both Brighouse Juniors and Batley Juniors for me to provide some coaching assistance and I'm looking forward to getting going, with them, as well as starting my work as an FA Club Mentor, after I meet with my two allocated clubs (Dewsbury Rangers and Woodkirk Valley) next week. The WRCFA Girls Player Development Centre trials start next Monday, firstly with the u15s at Horsforth and I'm pleased to have been selected as an u11s squad coach. Soccer Elite will be hosting three FA Mash Up sessions, all starting in September, at Halifax High School (Girls), Bradford Academy (Girls) and Bradford PRU (Boys). The applications have been accepted and we're just waiting for our funding and equipment to come through. All this plus the after school clubs booked to start in the next few weeks, mean I'll be busy indeed! Saturday mornings are running as normal and quite a few new faces are appearing for the new season. Cheers, Mark.
