It's been a busy Summer with Soccer Elite working alongside TAGS Programme and our Girls' Football growing more and more. Mark and the Soccer Elite coaching staff have run at Marley ACC for the Girls' Player Development Centre by request, all through the Summer Holidays on Monday evenings. This successful development programme for all abilities and ages up to 16 years old is very popular in the fast growing Girls' football scene.
Mark was also Camp Lead on several TAGS Multi-Sports Camps

Just a quick early season update for you............As I'm starting to write this, I'm just thinking about a young man, Dan Wilkinson, from Shaw Lane, who tragically passed away the other night whilst playing the game we all love so much. This is another young man leaving us too early. Our thoughts and wishes go to Dan's family and friends, along with both Shaw Lane and Brighouse Town Football Clubs, who along with the paramedics who attended, did everything they could to prevent this...

Many apologies for the delay in catching up on my Blog. Much news on all sorts of fronts. As you know, I've had to temporarily cancel Saturday mornings, due to my FA Mentoring and squad coaching commitments. After Spring, I may be in a position to revisit this, to include girls' coaching too! It's been an exciting start to what was ExPro Academies but now re-branded as Pathway2Pro Academy. Things have moved on significantly and I'm delighted to be involved with the current and new lads, coming...

Apologies for the lack of Blog posts lately but it's been pretty much a non-stop summer for me this time. Thanks to all parents and players who have and continue to attend our Saturday morning sessions. We're looking forward to restarting in September. I thought it would be the 5th but due to my FA Disability Talent ID programme commitments (see later on in the blog) I'm now unavailable until the second Saturday (12th). As an FA Coach Mentor, I completed my allocation of mentoring hours with my...

Just before Easter I had a call from a coaching colleague and, following our conversation and a meeting to discuss the details, I'm delighted to be getting involved in what I believe to be a superb coaching programme that creates a positive outcome either way, for 16 to 21 year old ex pro club academy players to get another chance with a pro club, or a possible job and career through an apprenticeship from a business sponsoring them. The businesses benefit from this too and it seems to be a...

Another busy few months has seen me working hard on various projects. The u11s at the WRCFA Player Development Centre had a couple of matches against Sheffield & Hallam FA and gave a great account of themselves. Another project was myself providing a demonstration of a typical "Join our Club" primary school session for the West Riding county FA Development team. I was filmed and recorded at a school near Rothwell, working with players from Castleford White Rose, whilst several coaches...

Just a quick update on a fantastic couple of days spent at St George's Park last week. Superb venue with amazing facilities. I was attending the national FA Coach Mentors conference. Enjoyed the presentations, workshops and networking, working with the other Mentors, who are all challenged in their clubs, as I am, but we're all contributing and making a difference in grass roots coaching.
